John “Junior” Gluth
John was born and raised in Port Clinton and has lived here his entire life. He married his high school sweetheart Jan (Lukac) Gluth, and they have a daughter Marie who currently attends OSU (Go Bucks!) and son Trey, who is married to Mackenzie (Stewart). The first Gluth grandchild is coming this December!
John is the owner of Gluth Building, a local contracting company his father started in the 1970’s. John Junior and John Senior worked side by side together for decades until John Junior took over operation of the business several years ago.
In 2023, John was newly elected as a Portage Township Trustee. In this last year he has learned quite a bit about the township but likes to share a few takeaways that stick with him.
