BIANNUAL TOWNSHIP CLEANUP

For one weekend in April and October, Portage Township provides dumpsters at the township maintenance complex for residents to dispose of accumulated trash. Township employees are on hand each day to assist residents in unloading.

Residents may dispose of accumulated trash, such as freon-free appliances, tire rims, oil-free engine parts, and small amounts of construction debris.  The clean-up is intended for residents to dispose of household items that are not picked up by residential trash service.

Daily household garbage, tires, asbestos, liquid waste, batteries, or yard waste cannot be accepted. The clean-up is not intended for commercial use or for disposing of excessive amounts of home renovation and construction materials.

If you have questions about the suitability of a material you would like to dispose of, feel free to call the maintenance garage at 419-732-3543.
