PUBLIC NOTICE
The Portage Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing concerning a proposed zoning map amendment to the Portage Township Zoning Resolution, adopted 1989. The hearing will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025 in the Portage Township Community Hall at 2501 E. State Rd.
The zoning map amendment involves a parcel of land in Portage Township, Ottawa County, OH specifically known as being a parcel of land located at 2197 E. Gill Rd. Port Clinton, OH and being part of Section 4, T6N, R17E containing 8.877 acres of land. The applicants are Brett and Lexis Bauer. The rezoning request is from the “A” Agricultural District to “C-2” General Commercial District.
The proposed zoning map amendment may be viewed at the Portage Township Hall on Monday evenings from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. or Thursday mornings from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. or at the office of the Ottawa Regional Planning Commission, 315 Madison St., Port Clinton, OH from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays. At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Portage Township Trustees will vote whether to adopt the proposed zoning map amendment.

Port Clinton, OH and being part of Section 4, T6N, R17E containing 8.476 acres of land. The applicants are Craig and Kellye Stephens. The rezoning request is from the “A” Agricultural District to “C-2” General Commercial District.
The proposed text amendment may be viewed at the Portage Township Hall on Mondays from 5:30-7:00 p.m. and on Thursdays from 8:30-10:00 a.m. or at the office of the Regional Planning Commission, 315 Madison St., Port Clinton, OH 43452 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays.
