NOW HIRING
As our community continues to grow, Portage Township officers and staff are looking for an administrative assistant to support government operations as we strive to improve and expand local services for residents, businesses, and visitors.
The Township Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of duties under the direction of the Fiscal Officer, including recordkeeping and administrative activities that support functions of the Township fiscal, zoning, and maintenance offices. This is a part-time position, with a flexible schedule, estimated to require 5-20 hours per week depending on projects in motion. Some work will require being on-site at the township office, but there will also be projects that can be worked on remotely.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning all the details of how local governments operate. If you are highly organized, familiar with Microsoft Office and Google applications, understand basic accounting principles, and have some time available to earn money while helping the local community, we want to hear from you.
Residency in Portage Township is not required but applicants must live within 20 miles of the Township Office Complex at 2501 State Rd in Port Clinton.
Interested individuals can contact Jen Cadmus at fiscalofficer@portagetownship.net to request an application. (Please do not call the Township office for inquiries about this position.)
