The Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca (OSS) Joint Solid Waste Management District was developed to ensure quality waste stream management for its residents and to foster long term positive solid waste habits including recycling, reduction, reusing and buying of recycled products The District sponsors waste reduction, recycling and reuse programs designed to increase recycling to meet Ohio reduction goals.
Special collection events are scheduled throughout the year for discarding electronics, tires, appliances and hazardous waste. Collections are open to residents of all three counties (no businesses or institutions). Registration in advance is required to participate.
